For those of you who have bee keeping up with my baby blog so far, this will be a small break from all the Benefit Cosmetics posts I've been ...posting.
Today I have for you one of the slightly new products from Too Faced. They recently put out a line of new cosmetics that have a very romantic feel and new design to them. The new palettes are in a sleek metal tins (much like the Naked 2 palette) which make for easier storage.
The other reviews I've read on these products have truly been 50/50. As much as I love Too Faced, I have to say myself that I have also felt semi 50/50...well, maybe a little more than that.
To start off, there is the Boudoir Eyes Palette, colors that can translate "from the bedroom and beyond". It has rich, soft, and sexy colors that are highly pigmented. Although the colors are "what you see is what you get", I have personally found hard to blend.
- Shimmer Bronzing Veil
- Powder Blush
- Creme Blush
- Concealer
- Luminizer
- Brightener
- How-To Glamour Guide
The two blushes are probably my most favorite of the entire pallette. The cream blush gives the cheeks a BEAUTIFUL flush of pink, while the powdered gives it the perfect pop of pink shimmer with flecks of gold (note that when I say shimmer, I mean it in a non-discoball sense).
The concealer in this palette (as well at the "Natural Face Palette") has always been one of my favrites. They do not make this concealer outside of their palettes, which can be very frustrating consider that in these palette you only get _ of the product. The brightener is much like the concealer in consistency...just brighter. I haven't found much of a different between the two and just mix both the brighter and the concealer in order to create the right tone for my skin.
The cream luminzer is the only part of the palette that I really have a hard time understanding. Either I am not doing it right, or it just isn't a good product in of itself. Even in the Natural Face Palette I didn't get much use out of the lumizer. It didn't gives my skin much of a glow, and it rubbed off way too easily.
Overall I have been using the palettes quite often, although I have only had them for under a month I feel like I will still get a lot of use out of them, more so the No Makeup Makeup vs. the Boudoir Eyes Palette.
Where to get it:
No Makeup Makeup
Boudoir Eyes
