Radiant Creamy Concealer Review | NARS

Beauty lovers!

In celebration on my new design layout finally coming into action,, I want to do a quick review! I would love feedback from you all to let me know what I should or should not change about the blog layout!

A huge THANK YOU to Dave Swanson who created this design for all my Social Media Au De Couture sites.

I want to do a quick rave of a product that I have COMPLETELY fallen in love with. I have been on an endless journey to find a concealer that would keep my under eye area moisturized ( I have very dry skin), not crease ( I have a horrible problem with concealers creasing on me after the HOUR mark), and will have a long-wear formula.

Although many concealers claim they do these things, they often fail to do so. This new Radiant creamy concealer from NARS has been a little miracle.

The concealer is a light to very build-able medium coverage that has a luminous finish and incredible smooth texture for amazing blending. I have absolutely loved the light-diffusing technology recent products I have picked up have had. It leaves the skin blurred of imperfections as well as hydrated with NARS' multi-benefical properties within the product.
FACTS:

  • Long wearing and crease-proof. <--truly a dream come true!
  • Paraben-free, Alcohol free, Synthetic fragrance free, Non commedogenic.

Lip Balm Lipstick Review | Stilla Cosmetics

Hello my beauty friends!

Sorry I haven't been keeping up much with the updates! I am crazy busy with finals, but only have three weeks left so I should be rocking awesome stuff out soon!
I am working on figuring out a good method that will work for my schedule in order to post and post often.

Today I have a special little little product too review that I have absolutely fallen in love with!
These Spring Collection Stilla Lip Balm Lipsticks are INCREDBILE. They have beautiful pigmentation and great moisurizing power. The minty "taste" they leave behind is cooling and refreshing on the lips!

A few facts:
  • Creamy and hydrating formula with phytoderived emollient properties
  • Certified organic sunflower based polyglycerides hydrates and smooth lip contours, while adding volume and definition
  • Naturally cooling peppermint oil is an emollient-rich botanical that provides excellent antiseptic and astringent benefits with a refreshing tingle that both soothes and stimulates irritated lips
  • A handy mirror on top of the cap for easy application on-the-go

I chose two pinks of the 9 shades that the collection had to offer, but all of them were beautiful!

Amelia is pink-taupe that is great for those days that you want some color but don't want COLOR! I have found this to be a great everyday lip shade for the Spring and it goes with most the Spring looks I have been doing!

Betsy, my personal favorite, is a Hot Pink with cool undertones.  love to wear this shade of the day sI want to rock the "POP! of NEon" trend that is going on this Spring. These are so easy to use, lip liner not needed!

I hope you enjoyed this quick review and will go out and try some of these wonderful lippies! Hopefully uou will love them as much as I have! I plan on going to get a couple more tomorrow, actually ;)

NAKED Skin Foundation & NAKED Skin BB Cream Review | Urban Decay

So I recently went on a mad shopping haul for Spring. I will post pictures soon, I was much too exhausted form shopping to film a haul.

Plus the only real, good videos I have made have been hauls, so I say a break is needed. Ya?

Today I have a quick review of a product I have been curious about for awhile now and have finally been able to get my hands on.

I am a huge fan on most Urban Decay products. I hadn't heard many good things about their foundation; therefore, I just blew off the idea of using it completely. When I was at Sephora recently, the sales woman told me that the foundation was medium to high coverage, had many benefits, and felt like nothing was on the skin (hence the name NAKED SKIN).

I picked up the foundation in the shade 4.5, as well as the NAKED SKIN BB Cream. The sales lady proceeded to tell me how AMAZING the BB cream was, which is why we got on the topic of the NAKED SKIN foundation in the first place. She truly did sell me on both the products after making them sound as if they were flawless products from the gods!

The packaging is very nice as well. Although it is on the larger size, it is sleek and has a great pump for easy application.

The NAKED SKIN foundation has a great color range ( 0.5-12.0), which makes it very versatile. The shades that have . in the number are more beige tons, while the whole numbers are more yellow based shades. The coverage was medium and very build able, and was in fact very light on the skin. I will have to say though, it didn't feel like there wasn't anything on my skin, but like I said, it was very light.

I would have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars! I have been loving using this over the BB cream. It create a very natural finish with coverage that is very controllable. If I want light coverage, I can achieve it. I think this is a great quality for people who like to switch up the amount of face makeup they wear.

The BB cream comes in once shade that adjusts itself to the tone of you skim. It's literally like you just added a gaussian bur layer over your face! I found that I need to apply concealer before I put the BB cream on though because the coverage seems to be a bit on the light side.

Although the coverage of the BB Cream is light, I have been able to build it up just a tad.

No Makeup

 NAKID BB Cream

NAKIND Skin (4.5) I suggest going two shades darker if you purchase this foundation

No Makeup Makeup & Boudoir Eyes Palette Review | Too Faced Cosmetics

For those of you who have bee keeping up with my baby blog so far, this will be a small break from all the Benefit Cosmetics posts I've been ...posting.

Today I have for you one of the slightly new products from Too Faced. They recently put out a line of new cosmetics that have a very romantic feel and new design to them. The new palettes are in a sleek metal tins (much like the Naked 2 palette) which make for easier storage.

The other reviews I've read on these products have truly been 50/50. As much as I love Too Faced, I have to say myself that I have also felt semi 50/50...well, maybe a little more than that.

To start off, there is the Boudoir Eyes Palette, colors that can translate "from the bedroom and beyond". It has rich, soft, and sexy colors that are highly pigmented. Although the colors are "what you see is what you get", I have personally found hard to blend.

I have been able to make some looks that truly have been "bedroom worthy, sexy". I will post a couple looks for you all to choose from for a tutorial!
From left to right: In The Buff, Satin Sheets, Birthday Suit

Fuzzy Handcuffs, Sugar Walls, Lap Dance

Voulez-Vous, Garder Belt, French Tickler

The "No Makeup Makeup Palette" is probably my favorite out of this collection. I feel that most every girl strives to experience the therapeutic ritual of ding her makeup, but doesn't want to look "caked"or too over done. This palette truly makes this possible.

The palette include six products:

  • Shimmer Bronzing Veil
  • Powder Blush
  • Creme Blush
  • Concealer
  • Luminizer
  • Brightener
  • How-To Glamour Guide

Too Faced put out this palette with the intension of truly achieving what no makeup can look like...with wearing makeup. When the palette is used with a light BB cream and a natural mascascra, such as Maybelline Mega Plush, it can truly achieve a beautiful, glowing natural look.

The bronzing veil is so light with a golden shimmer, that it truly does give the skin the appearance that it is glowing after a soft day in the sun. It is a very light bronzing veil so it doesn't look the sam eon different skin tones.

The two blushes are probably my most favorite of the entire pallette. The cream blush gives the cheeks a BEAUTIFUL flush of pink, while the powdered gives it the perfect pop of pink shimmer with flecks of gold (note that when I say shimmer, I mean it in a non-discoball sense).

The concealer in this palette (as well at the "Natural Face Palette") has always been one of my favrites. They do not make this concealer outside of their palettes, which can be very frustrating consider that in these palette you only get _ of the product. The brightener is much like the concealer in consistency...just brighter. I haven't found much of a different between the two and just mix both the brighter and the concealer in order to create the right tone for my skin.

The cream luminzer is the only part of the palette that I really have a hard time understanding. Either I am not doing it right, or it just isn't a good product in of itself.  Even in the Natural Face Palette I didn't get much use out of the lumizer. It didn't gives my skin much of a glow, and it rubbed off way too easily.

Overall I have been using the palettes quite often, although I have only had them for under a month I feel like I will still get a lot of use out of them, more so the No Makeup Makeup vs. the Boudoir Eyes Palette.

Fine One - One Review | Benefit Cosmetics

Another one of Benefit's somewhat-new product, the Fine-One-One, has been a love hate within the beauty community as far as I have seen so far. Some gave it an F while others couldn't stop giving it love. In my opion I love it as a dimensional cream blush.

The concept behind the poduct is  to bring a sheer and bright colors to both the lips and cheeks, and bring a "lift", "shape" and "pop" to the cheeks with just a single sweep for "instant cheekbones".

The product consists of three colors: Soft Champagne to highlight, a  Watermelon and Sheer Coral for a beautiful flush of color over the apples of the cheeks.

When I use this product, I blend the two blusher colors together and leave the highlighter on top. When blended together they create a GORGEOUS soft "airbrushed" finish of color on the cheeks.

It seems perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons with its cream consistency and sheer glow it brings to the cheeks. This product can be used on its own or under a favorite blush! I love using a pop of Benefits Coralista over the top.

Used on the lips, and all colors combined, it makes a fun spring time deep coral finish with a champagne sheen! But since we've already learned how multi-functinal this product is, its only necessary to know that each color can be used individually as well! I love to use a combination of the Watermelon and Sheer Coral, the use the Soft Champagne in the center of my bottom lip for a pop of light to bring dimension to the lips!

Sometimes I feel that the colors wont show up enough and will sweep the product at least twice over my cheek bone. The Soft Champagne is my favorite color out of the three colors, so I often will use the corner of that color to intensify the highlight even more. This is the only true problem I had with the product overall.

Its very easy to customize different looks from this product which makes it good for any type of person. I give it an A!

Girl Meets Pearl Review | Benefit Cosmetics

I promise I will post about different products other than benefit. I must say, I am a Benefit Addict though. Creative packaging, fun names, and high quality products? You just can't go wrong with that.

For those of you that don't know, I am a highlighter junkie. Benefit has a whole collection of different kinds of highlighters, all of them different and amazing in their own ways.

The packing is reallocate and easy to use. It has a twist at the bottom that pushes the product up for direct application. I typically will stop it off on the back of my hand and use a small fluffy brush for an airbrushed effect.

Girl Meets Pearl is a beautiful soft cream luminizer with light-reflecting pigments for a beautiful "from within" dewy glow. It's golden-pink pearl finish will give any type of skin tone a gorgeous glowing finish.

Not only is the highlighter beautiful, but the formula also has many different properties that are good for the skin. The sweet almond extract makes for improved skin firmness as well as smoothness, while The chamomile and raspberry soothes.

World Famous Neutrals Kits | Benefit Cosmetics

This World Famous Neutrals Kits are not only an awesome idea as a kit itself, but have such a cool concept with incredible products in them as well. I love seeing these book-like kits Benefit has been putting out sitting on my bookshelf! Its truly a makeup lovers dream!

All of these World Famous Neutral kits are amazing! The one I grab for most is The Easiest Nudes Ever Kit. I love how so many beautiful, neutral looks can be achieved from this kit.

Price: $30 USD / $36 CAD each

  • Creaseless Cream Shawdow in R.S.V.p
  • Creaseless Cream Shadow in No Pressure!
  • Long-wear Powder Eyeshadow in Pinky Swear
  • Long-wear Powder Eyeshadow in Call My Buff
  • Long-wear Powder Eyeshadow in Thanks a Latte
  • Long-wear Powder Eyeshadow in Quick! Look Busy

Another cool asset of these kits is that the makeup tray can be removed, leaving the box as cute storage for jewelry and other small nik-naks!

I love using these two colors to even out my eyelid to cover up any veins as well as giving my eyes a very awake and refreshed look!

Having a matte brown (Quick! Look Busy) in the crease and popping some of the shimmering bronzed coffee (Thanks A Latte) in the outer third of the eye, makes for a beautiful and natural sculpted eye look perfect for an every day neutral look!

All the shawdows are incredibley pigmented and blend together wonderfully.

I do not think I have one negative word to say about these amazing creaseless cream eyeshadow. These truly are the creamiest, most pigmented cream eyeshadows I have ever experienced.
They are such great quality that they can easily be worn alone with just a swipe of the color over the lid, of blend with the shadows that come with the kit.

I have been loving putting the pink sparkling champagne (R.S.V.P.) in the inner 2/3 of my eyelid and using the medium/dark brown shimmering bronzed on the outer corner for a soft smokey eye that is flawless!

Overall I have fallen in love with this kit and highly recommend it. I have heard great reviews on all the other kits too, so be sure to go to the nearest sephora to find which one suites your neutral eye the best!

Have a beautiful day!
